Hailsham House Nursing Home & Care Suites is a modern property standing in a quiet rural location on the outskirts of Hailsham, near Eastbourne, East Sussex.  It is one of a number of homes owned by a husband and wife team, Ernie & Dr Karen Graham and provides a friendly and homely environment for people with nursing care needs.

The 24-hour care and support provided by the home’s care staff is led by Registered Nurses and includes a team of social assistants who concentrate on helping residents to maintain relationships with their families and friends and on providing a tailored programme of social activities for each resident.

The home has two types of accommodation:

Care Suites for Older People with Dementia

Our Care Suites offer supported living for people with moderate/severe dementia. The care suites provide a safe and secure environment where personal and nursing care is available 24/7 under the supervision of Registered Nurses.

Each suite has much more space than a nursing home bedroom. This gives residents and their families the space to spend good quality time together in privacy and comfort. There is a choice of studio or one bedroom suites all with en-suite shower rooms.

Nursing Home Bedrooms for Adults with Mental Health Issues & Older People with Dementia

The home has a specialist nursing home unit (Orchard Unit) with 25 places for working age people with mental health issues. In order to provide in-depth expertise for these residents’ care, the home has a private arrangement with a NHS Pyschiatric Consultant who visits on a weekly basis.

There are a further 8 nursing home bedrooms in separate area of the home for older people with dementia. These rooms provide an alternative to the Care Suites for this client group.
