Graham Care Awards 2014
Hailsham House – Graham Care Awards 2014
It was a night to remember for Hailsham House as we celebrated the first Graham Care Awards at the Felbridge Hotel on 14 November.
This was a care awards with a difference as the Award winners were joined by specially invited residents and their families as well as colleagues and care professionals from Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
The winners themselves had been nominated by residents, their relatives and friends who have seen for themselves the outstanding qualities these individuals bring to the care and support of their loved ones.
The winner at Hailsham House was Galina Nikolova
Galina started with us as a care assistant and four years ago when we needed a social assistant Galina accepted the challenge and took on the role. One relative who nominated Galina said: “Since moving into Hailsham House Mum is so much more content and happy. Galina stimulates her everyday and keeps her and the other residents busy. She has many talents. Her dancing and singing are a must to see!! The reason we chose to nominate Galina was because stimulation is what Mum needed to make her care complete.”
The Graham Care Awards were created to celebrate the achievements of those members of staff who are helping transform the lives of people with dementia and physical frailty.
Owner of Graham Care Group Ernie Graham said: “ Galina and all our winners are people who can empathise with our residents and see the world through their eyes; they are not afraid of putting the needs of others first; their reward is a job well done and the Graham Care Group believes that is worthy of celebration. The Awards recognise staff who excel in delivering relationship-centred care on a daily basis; individuals who motivate the team around them and who positively enjoy supporting residents and giving them the individualised care, companionship and stimulation that facilitates their well-being.”
