Support for Residents with Mental Health Issues
We can provide high quality specialist nursing care for people with enduring mental health issues or early-onset dementias such as Lewy Body, Pick’s or Korsakoff’s disease. Some of the residents may have inappropriate or challenging behaviours and often come to reside with us when previous placements have failed. We feel proud and privileged to offer a warm and friendly home to these vulnerable people.
Support by NHS Pyschiatric Consultant
Dr M Isaac MBBCH, MRCPsych, PGCert in Medical Education
We have a private arrangement with Dr Isaac (click here for his qualifications and experience) to support clients and staff in delivering the highest standard of holistic care to service users who have very complex behaviours. He visits the home each week to advise on treatment planning and management whilst also being available to us outside of his scheduled attendance should we need immediate support to avert a deterioration in a resident’s health. This enables us to deliver appropriate care promptly avoiding delays that occur when waiting for referrals to the NHS services.
Advice given by the Consultant is shared with our the resident, their family and our staff in addition to the multidisciplinary teams that also care for each individual, thereby ensuring communication and continuity of care is not compromised.
